Grant Writer
General Description
The overall responsibility of the Grant Writer:
Working closely with State Labor Departments, Bureaus, Agencies
and/or public/private business development organizations to fully
understand the various funding programs available for Workforce
Development.
Training Funds are available through such programs as:
The Workforce Investment Act
The Veteran’s Administration
Incumbent Worker Training Programs
Funding to train Dislocated Workers
Funding to train Special Populations
Working closely with The LearnShop's Sales Team to market and promote
a Grant program.
Writing Grant applications in order to obtain funding for educational
offerings.
Organizing of pertinent information necessary to respond to such
Grant opportunities.
Formally submitting all necessary documentation for Grants.
Reviews/monitors information regarding available Grants and keeps
upper management informed of such opportunities.
Coordinates and ensures the submittal of all pre and post Grant
documentation as necessary in a timely manner.
Take the lead in responding to RFP’s from private and public
entities.
Competencies/Work Experience
· Must demonstrate an understanding of how Federal funds
are distributed through State government agencies and/or State various
public/private business development entities.
· Must demonstrate solid business acumen.
· Must have at least 5-7 years experience selling educational
related services or solutions.
· Experience with market development and have the ability
to develop and disseminate marketing material.
· Experience working with C-Level Executives and have the
communication and presentation skills to communicate marketing concepts
to this level of an organization.
· Experience with educational Grant development preferred.
· College degree a plus; however experience will be considered
in lieu of a degree.
Vice President
Sales & Marketing__________________________________
Seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing leader. The ideal candidate
must possess a strong background in Sales and Marketing educational
products. Direct Marketing / Catalog experience is ideal but not
required. Experience with e-commerce and technology a plus.
Responsibilities include Product Management, Marketing,
Customer Service and Sales. Candidates must have a background in
building and managing effective sales organizations with the added
experience of integrating Sales and Marketing.
Ideal candidates will possess a progressive career
in both Sales and Marketing combined with a strong management background
(minimum 10 years management experience). The ability to develop
and execute strategy and collaborate with senior management is critical
to the success of this role.
In addition to the appropriate functional experience,
an appropriate undergraduate is required. Advanced degree and/or
additional Sales & Marketing training will be considered a strong
plus.

Marketing Intern______________________________________________

We require verification of student status, and enrollment in a university
co-op or internship program.
The Education Marketing Intern will assist the Corporate Education
Marketing team in the execution of various marketing projects and
day-to-day marketing operations over the summer months. The intern
can expect to gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to
a wide range of marketing/communications vehicles, including our
website (www.thelearnshop.org), email marketing, search engine advertising/optimization,
collateral, public relations, and more.
Specific responsibilities that may be assigned include:
. Copy writing for advertisements, emails, and/or ad-hoc communications
. Coordination and execution of targeted email campaigns
. Creation of website and campaign landing pages
. Collateral design and printing coordination . Online advertising
design
. Management of social networking website accounts
. Other Duties As Assigned

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
related discipline.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on multiple
overlapping projects.
Self-motivation and strong communication skills.
Analysis skills for coding, testing/troubleshooting and for building
and configuring applications
Operating Systems – Unix, Windows XP/2003/Vista
Databases - MySQL Applications, Platforms & Languages –
.NET, JavaScript, Java, PHP, & SOAP API Network –TCP/IP,
firewalls, VOIP
*Experience conducting Webex meetings or webinars
in similar applications is a plus
